This is excellent:) I have tried cocoa mochi, this one sounds really great I wonder if I can mix the two as I really love coconut, and another good thing about this recipe is it's a oven recipe.

    Hi,
    This recipe sounds great!
Being the inquiring mind that I am......I checked out other recipes for this online and found that indeed, anywhere from 8 oz. to 1 lb of butter is called for in every recipe, depending on the amount of flour, etc.
So the amount of butter you state is quite correct.
    Thanks for posting the recipe!

This is one of the great Hawaiian treats. The amount of butter in the recipe should be 1 block, which is Hawaii-speak for 1/4 lb. I would be interested to know if anyone has made it with the 1 lb and what they are like!
