Firehouse Lasagna

- 2 26 oz Jars of spaghetti sauce shopping list
- 2 Small cans of mushrooms, Drained shopping list
- 1 Lb of ground beef shopping list
- 1 Lb of sausage, Mild or Hot shopping list
- 2 Cups of Shredded parmesan cheese shopping list
- 2 Cups of Shredded romano cheese shopping list
- 2 Cups of Shredded mozzarella cheese shopping list
- 2 Cups of Shredded provolone cheese (sub. 2 16 oz packages of Kraft Italian Shredded Cheese Mix) shopping list
- 1/2 Box of lasagna noodles shopping list
- 1 Large egg, Beaten shopping list
- 1 Large onion, Chopped shopping list
- 1 clove Garlic, Chopped shopping list
- 1 Tsp parsley shopping list
- 1 Tsp oregano shopping list
- 1 Tsp basil leaves shopping list
- 1 Tsp tarragon shopping list
- 1 Tsp Cavender's Greek seasoning (sub. Italian if Cavendre's not avabile) shopping list
- Foil shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350.
- In a large skillet brown beef, sausage, onion, mushrooms and garlic; drain.
- Meanwhile, mix cheeses, herbs, and egg.
- Bring noodles to a boil for 12 minutes, drain.
- Add sauces to beef and sausage mixture, heat on medium high until noodles are done.
- In a large casserole dish begin with layer of sauce mix, add layer of noodles, add layer of cheese mix; continuing utill dish is full.
- Wrap dish in foil, I always wrap the entire dish to prevent spillage in the oven.
- Bake for 30 minutes at 350.
- Cool for 10 minutes, before serving.

Like the sounds of this recipe, especially the idea of making one and freezing the other for a raining day when you don't feel like cooking. Great post.
