How to make it

  • Wash "coon and cut up. Cover with cold water in Dutch over. Bring to a boil for 15 minutes. Pour off this water and add fresh water, onions, salt, pepper and pepper pods. Boil 1 to 2 hours or until tender. Remove and dry on paper towels. Dip meat in barbecue sauce and place on hot grill for 45 minutes, basting frequently. Remove from grill and place in shallow pan. Pour sauce over meat and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hours.

    ROFLMAO!!!! HOW did I miss this one!??? Didn't show up on my page! Anyway...I just LOVE it...been looking for somethin' to have for Sunday dinner besides the roadkill stew and the possum jowls!! Thought we were supposed to pick up the road kill...isn't there something similar to the 5 second rule? Like, as long as you beat the buzzards to it??? ha ha ha ha ha ha...LOVE IT!

    My recipe says to place the coon parts on a cedar plank to finish baking, cover with BBQ sauce, then throw out the coon and eat the plank..../Bob

    hahah.....I love this one.....will give it a try next time we get some coon.......Thank you for the post......Not sure if I can get the razorback BBQ....

    But I have one that I make that might go well with this....
