Ingredients
  • Go HUNT a coon. If you don't hunt ,
  • Go to store and BUY "a COON with 1 FOOT on it".
  • Identify foot (if it's not OBVIOUSLY a coon's foot,then it could possibly be a cat !) If it's a coon's foot, purchase & cut off said foot !
  • 1 (8 TO 10-lb.) raccoon, dressed,
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Razorback Barbecue Sauce (hot or mild)

Directions
  1. Wash "coon and cut up. Cover with cold water in Dutch over. Bring to a boil for 15 minutes. Pour off this water and add fresh water, onions, salt, pepper and pepper pods. Boil 1 to 2 hours or until tender. Remove and dry on paper towels. Dip meat in barbecue sauce and place on hot grill for 45 minutes, basting frequently. Remove from grill and place in shallow pan. Pour sauce over meat and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hours.
  2. NUUUUUUUUUUM, NUUUUUUUUUM !!!!

I love raccoons, thanks! This is almost as good sounding as my possum stew!

Oh, make sure Robertg sees this, he will love it.

My recipe says to place the coon parts on a cedar plank to finish baking, cover with BBQ sauce, then throw out the coon and eat the plank..../Bob

The closest I have been to a coon is reading "Where the Red Fern Grows"!!

Dix... I told you not to go picking up roadkill...people will think we are from the south...

ROFLMAO!!!! HOW did I miss this one!??? Didn't show up on my page! Anyway...I just LOVE it...been looking for somethin' to have for Sunday dinner besides the roadkill stew and the possum jowls!! Thought we were supposed to pick up the road kill...isn't there something similar to the 5 second rule? Like, as long as you beat the buzzards to it??? ha ha ha ha ha ha...LOVE IT!

I'm with Sparow... OMG.. this is hysterical! The cat part.... brahahahahaha... Locking up my cats now! Thanks for the laugh! Worth a 5 for the fun!
