Onion Soup Mix

I'm always running across recipes that call for onion soup mix. Not something I generally keep on hand. Now you can make your own. From The Tightwad Gazette II.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup instant minced onion shopping list
- 4 tsp onion powder shopping list
- 1/3 cup beef-flavored bouillon powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp celery seed, crushed shopping list
- 1/4 tsp sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Mix all ingredients, and store in an airtight container.
- To make soup:
- Add 2 tablespoons mix to 1 cup boiling water. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. This makes a stronger soup than the store-bought mix, so you might want to use less.

Thanks so much for this recipe. I've never got it when I need it. I like to make my own mixes when I can so I can control what goes in them but this is the first time I've seen a recipe for this mix

I hear ya on it.But it seem like that I do try to keep it on stock though.Thanks for this recipe on adding this up.I never knew that it could be made like this.I ought to give this a try.
