Tea Eggs-marbled Eggs

- 6 eggs shopping list
- 3 1/2 cups cold water shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
- 2 Tbs.soy sauce shopping list
- 1/2 cup, brewed black tea shopping list
- 2 star anise- broken into individual pieces shopping list
- 1 cinnamon stick shopping list
How to make it
- Place eggs in the pan with the water-make sure the water covers the eggs by aleast 1/2"
- cover and bring to a rolling boil
- remove pan and let stand in the hot water for 20 minutes
- remove eggs and run under cold water to cool enough for you to handle. reserve cooking water
- tap the hard boiled eggs,gently,with the back of a spoon to make cracks all ove the eggs
- bring water back to a boil, add salt,soy,tea,anise, cinnamon and the eggs
- simmer,stirring occasionally for 2 hours
- turn off heat and let eggs sit till you serve.
- can serve a honey mustard or any other condiment you please
