Ingredients

How to make it

  • Place eggs in the pan with the water-make sure the water covers the eggs by aleast 1/2"
  • cover and bring to a rolling boil
  • remove pan and let stand in the hot water for 20 minutes
  • remove eggs and run under cold water to cool enough for you to handle. reserve cooking water
  • tap the hard boiled eggs,gently,with the back of a spoon to make cracks all ove the eggs
  • bring water back to a boil, add salt,soy,tea,anise, cinnamon and the eggs
  • simmer,stirring occasionally for 2 hours
  • turn off heat and let eggs sit till you serve.
  • can serve a honey mustard or any other condiment you please

    I thought this recipe sounded very interesting. This morning "Easter" I boiled 18 eggs...14 for deviled eggs and 4 for your recipe. My family is so mad at me for not making All of the eggs with your recipe. The Tea Eggs not only looked beautiful, but tasted Wonderful! Thank you so much for an incredible post 55555555!
