Ingredients

How to make it

  • Scrub potatoes but leave peelings on.
  • Boil in water to cover until tender.
  • Drain and add minced garlic, butter, salt and pepper and milk or half and half.
  • Mash until desired smoothness. (My daughter always wants lumps in her mashed potatoes to be sure they are not the powdered kind!)
  • Sprinkle with chopped chives if desired.
  • Serve with the Pesto Chicken Breast and enjoy.

Awesome recipe! I used to give my mother the same grief and would not eat potatoes unless I could see the lumps!

I make mine a little different these days.
Tell your daughter I agree the lumps are needed for texture.

Great recipe! I love mashed potatoes prepared this way! My nephew was in charge of the potatoes for Christmas Eve and this is exactly how he made them. He prefers margarine but when I make them I like butter and only butter ;-) Cheers!!!
