How to make it

  • Saute the shallots. Drain.
  • In a bowl add shallots and the next 7 ingredients.
  • Wet hands and shape into patties; refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Dust patties with flour; saute' until in oil until cooked and keep warm in oven.
  • Add consomme', Apricot Brandy, and cook 5 minutes. Add butter and pour over patties. Sprinkle with parsley

    Yum :) I enjoy home-made hamburgers (is there any other kind??) and this recipe, with the ham, thyme, shallots & apricot brandy sounds like it's so jam-packed with flavours that you don't need much in the way of condiments! GREAT post, Lillyan; it's got me drooling :)

    Wow! These sound like something you'd get at one of those swanky restaurants. What a novel idea to put ground HAM in there for depth. Love this one!
