Ingredients

How to make it

  • Prick each Cranberry two to three times.
  • Drop Cranberries into the decorative bottle until 1/3 to 1/2 full.
  • Pour Vodka over Cranberries until the bottle is full. Seal.
  • No need to refrigerate although you can.
  • Allow it to sit for several weeks, tipping over every once in a while, to mix the Cranberry juices with the Vodka.
  • The longer it sits, the prettier it gets.
  • Not only is it Decorative, but can be used in all kinds of recipes...I cook with it....very good with Chicken, in sauces, mixed drinks, over ice-cream, or just drink it straight. Use within 6 months.
  • Enjoy!

Another "gotta try" - not only pretty, but what a great "cooking aid" (whether I drink it or cook with it, I win!)...thanks!

Hi NYM, it's good to hear from you! I've never tried frozen cranberries. You've just motivated me to make another batch. I don't see why you can't. The idea is for the berries to release their juice into the Vodka. It turns a very pretty color. Thanks for the idea!

I love the idea of this....can you use frozen cranberries without any harm? (I mean after you defrost them of course) What a lovely gift idea!

I love this!!! Everybody may be drunk for Christmas this year! I am going to try making more gifts this year...not only is it economical, but people seem to like homemade gifts better. Thanks for posting this!

Hi Suz, no need to refrigerate, although I don't think it would hurt the Vodka. As far as the shelflife...I'd use it within 6 months. I have a bottle that I made a few years ago - for decoration.

Great post! Do you store it in the fridge or the pantry+ how long is the shelflife?
