Carolina Style Pulled Pork Barbeque Oven Prep Recipe
If its too cold out to properly barbeque, this oven prep pulled pork can help satisfy that craving that we southern folks sometimes suffer. Mustard based spicey barbeque that with have folks lining up for seconds!

Ingredients
  • 10-12 lbs pork butts, boned and cut into 3-4 inch cubes
  • 2 cups white vinegar
  • 16 oz hot sauce
  • 2 cups prepared yellow mustard
  • ½ cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup dark molasses
  • 4 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 Tbsp chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp ground black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp ground cayenne pepper
  • 2 Tbsp granulated garlic
  • 2 Tbsp granulated onion

Directions
  1. Mix 2 cups white vinegar, 16 oz hot sauce and 2 cups prepared yellow mustard. Place cut up pork in a suitable container and pour the mixture over the meat. Stir to coat thoroughly. Place in refrigerator and marinate overnight.
  2. Remove the pork from the marinade and retain the liquid mixture.
  3. Mix remaining ingredients in a large sauce pan, add the retained liquid mixture and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
  4. Place pork in a large, deep covered roasting pan. Pour the sauce mixture over the pork.
  5. Tightly cover the roasting pan and place in oven at 350 for 3½-4 hours. Stir occasionally.
  6. Remove pork from the sauce and retain the sauce.
  7. Using a fork and spatula pull the pork until all the meat is shredded.
  8. Place in serving bowl and mix in small amounts of the sauce to desired consistency.
  9. Serve hot (may require re-heating). Great with baked beans, slaw and fried potatoes.
  10. Also makes a great sandwich on a toasted bun topped with slaw.

Well-your recipe pulled off the SuperBowl even if the Patriots didn't. Got rave reviews from all that indulged-I did as you suggested and left the sauce on the side for them to choose how much they wanted. I bought hoagie rolls and put the pulled pork on them with some of my home made slaw..I have people that want your number now...***GRIN**thanks for a KEEPER!
