How to make it

  • Method:
  • Preheat oven to 375 F , and butter a 23 cm cake tin. Pit the five topping ingredients in a food processor and blend to make a sticky crumble.
  • In a separate bowl, blend the butter,sugar,eggs,flour and baking powderusing a hand mixer or a wooden spoon, gradually adding enough milk to make a creamy mixture that drops from a spoon. Spread in the tin and arrange the peaches. Top with the crumble and press down.
  • Bake for 60 – 70 minutes until golden and a skewer inserted comes out clean.Cool in tin completely. Dust with icing sugar or drizzle some icing over .

    Ahmed, I was looking for a peach recipe, as my hubby got some really good ones from the market and of course I looked first in your recipe collection. I have a question, if you have fresh peaches, do you put them in boiling water for a couple of minutes first, or you can just use them ( of course peeled) as they are?
