This is what we kids in New Orleans called Freeze Cups. I sold them from our house when I was fourteen. This was my first self-employed job.

Oh yeah - those first "jobs" were definitely the most fun! I sat on a curb outside a chicken place and ran car orders inside for the cook to package up...a bit before microphones and drive-thru's became the "norm"!! Great memories - thanks for sharing yours...

Oh gosh, Frank Davis mentioned these this morning. Reminded me of the lady around the corner who sold them out of her side door. I don't know what she put in it, but it tasted better than the other Moms' in the neighborhood. She used to have a line of kids out her door after school and during the summers. I remember these. my grandma was the "candy lady" for our neighborhood in texas and she sold these. i haven't had kool-aid since then. thanks for the post and the memories.
