Ingredients
  • 24 frozen dinner rolls, thawed but still cold
  • 1 c sliced almonds, divided
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 t cinnamon
  • 1 t nutmeg
  • 1/2 c butter, melted
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • Glaze:
  • 1 T butter, melted
  • 1 c powdered sugar
  • 2 T water
  • 1/2 t almond extract

Directions
  1. Sprinkle 1/4 c almonds in a sprayed bundt pan. Cut cream cheese into 24 equal cubes. In a small bowl mix sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Roll cream cheese cubes in sugar mixture and coat completely. Wrap a roll around each cube and completely enclose. Dip each roll in sugar mixture until coated. Place rolls in bundt pan alternately with 3/4 c almonds. Sprinkle any remaining sugar mixture over rolls. Stir together butter and brown sugar in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave 30 seconds. Stir well and pour over rolls.
  2. Cover with plastic wrap that has been sprayed and let rise until almost to the top of the pan. Remove wrap and bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. Cover with foil last 15 minutes of baking. Invert immediately onto serving platter (it will settle). Mix glaze ingredients together and drizzle over bundt while still warm.
  3. Enjoy!!

You'd have to be much, much older to remember the "bundt cake song". Of course it didn't refer to what type of bundt cake, that's just me clowning around... The cake is so yummy and the smell is incredible.
