I have done this recipe MANY a time but without the cayenne pepper...and it's FAB....i also add a tsp of lemon juice...as it helps it retain it's freshness...the strength of the spicyness decreases with time, so it's best to make and use it all right away. It's also really good just with sparkling water.

It's never stayed around long enough to spoil!
and i think a creative cook could use it in a fish recipe, maybe a finishing sauce. i'd cut way down on the vodka of course.

When I'm getting sick I drink a stong ginger tea with lemon and a generous dose of cayenne, this sounds a lot better with the vodka!! Mo hotter, mo better.

Forget the ice cream or fruit salad! Vodka is my drink (Have you tried Tido's...TX vodka from Austin - 6 times distilled - Good stuff for a descent price)! Can't wait to try this one!
