Banana Brownies

Brownies, bananas and graham crackers. RECIPE FROM FOOD REFERENCE
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter, divided shopping list
- 8 whole graham crackers shopping list
- 6 bananas, divided shopping list
- 4 med. eggs shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 2 tps. vanilla extract shopping list
- 1-1/3 cup all-purpose flour shopping list
- 3/4 cup baking cocoa shopping list
- 1 tps. baking powder shopping list
- 1 cup chopped walnuts shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Melt 1/4 cup butter and put into 13x9-inch pan, tip to coat. Cover bottom of pan with a single layer of whole graham cracker (they may be cut with a serrated knife, if necessary).
- Mash enough banana to make 1 cup mashed banana, set aside. Thinly slice the remaining bananas and arrange on top of graham crackers. Add to the mashed banana, 1/2 cup melted butter, eggs, sugar, and vanilla. Sift in the flour, cocoa and baking powder. Stir just to blend. pour carefully into prepared pan. Sprinkle with walnuts.
- Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until set in center. Cool, cut into squares or bars.
