I just heard about, and tried, making barbeque sauce by melting a can of jelled cranberry sauce with a bottle of picante sauce. I used HOT sauce and got the burn...too much so, and then had to add brown sugar and maple syrup to quiet it down. I'm still tweaking the recipe - but it works!
