Ingredients

How to make it

  • Mix brown sugar and water together.
  • Add whole spices and citrus zest. Cover and let steep for several hours. Taste to see if spicy enough and, if so, strain into a container with a cover. Stir in maple and almond extracts.
  • Store in the refrigerator.
  • **Serve in a nice pitcher on the table** :)

    Do you mean simmer instead of steep. Steeping requires no additional heat. The syrup mix is very water like and will not thicken by steeping. I am gong to assume you meant simmer, unless you tell me differently.

    Three hours at simmer then let it cool. Syrup test tastes very good and is a nice thick consistency that syrup should be. Pancakes are on the menu again.

    Also added a little lemon extract as well as the other two extracts.
