Jetts Sumi Salad

- 1 large head green cabbage(about 2 1/2 lbs)shredded shopping list
- 1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds shopping list
- 1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds shopping list
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced scallions, green part only shopping list
- 2 packages(3 oz each) chicken flavored ramen noodle soup mix shopping list
- 1 package ramen noodle chicken flavor seasoning packet shopping list
- 1/2 cup canola or sunflower oil shopping list
- 1 tsp sesame oil shopping list
- 4 tablespoons seasoned brown rice vinegar shopping list
- 2 tablespoons honey shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- fresh ground pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Combine the cabbage, almonds, sesame seeds and scallions in a large serving bowl.
- Crumble the ramen noodles into small pieces and add to cabbage mixture(Use a rolling pin to break up noodles in unopened package)
- In separate bowl, whisk together the oil, brown rice vinegar, honey, ramen seasoning, salt & pepper.
- Toss into the salad, stirring to coat well
- Refrigerate overnite so cabbage will have a chance to "pickle"
- For more protein add 1/2 cup shredded cooked chicken
