Magali, Tomorrow morning I will wake up and whip up some crepes to make with your cajeta recipe! I will also post them here! I LOVE CAJETA! I was so addicted to it, that this was the only dessert I had every day in my 3 weeks long holiday in Mexico this year! Thank you so much for posting this.

I hope you're having a great weekend, my friend.

Hi Magali
My fear in using the condensed milk method has to be fear of the can exploding. I have heard that this can happen. What do you think?
BTW thanks for me a FRIEND

Thanks for this post. I'll never have to go and buy cajeta again! Over the years I learned to make many great Mexican dishes, but my ex mother-in-law doesn't bake, so I couldn't get a recipe from her! (And I'd go to a Mexican store with my ex and if I saw something I didn't recognize I'd ask him what it was and he'd say "Food." This is part of the reason he is an ex! LOL. I am going to be very glad you are my friend!!!

I know traditional cajeta is made with goats milk, do you think that would work in this recipe too?? I'd love to try it!
