Ingredients
  • 1/3c butter,melted
  • 2Tbs minced garlic(use 2Tbs ) for extreme flavor
  • 1tsp garlic powder(can use more)
  • 1/2tsp seasoning salt(or to taste,or use white salt)
  • 1/2c seasoned dry bread crumbs(can use 3/4c)
  • 1/2c fine grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/4c grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4tsp ground black pepper(or to taste)
  • grated cheddar cheese or mozzarella chees(optional,use any amt. desired)
  • 4 boneless,skinless chicken breasts

Directions
  1. Set oven to 350
  2. Butter an 11x7" pan(if using more than 4 breasts,use bigger pan)
  3. In a bowl,combine melted butter with fresh minced garlc,garlic powder and salt
  4. In another bowl,combine bread crumbs with 1/2c fine grated cheddar cheese,parmesan cheese and coarse ground pepper.
  5. Dip chicken in butter mixture;then in crumb mixture
  6. Place in prepared pan and bake uncovered for 30-35 mins or till juices run clear,or bake covered 15 mins and uncover for the remainder of cooking time,baking uncovered will create a crisper crust
  7. **Note** for moist chicken cooking time should be no more than at the most 35 mins. unless they are very large the you might have to add on a couple of extra minutes)
  8. Top with shreaded cheddar or mozzarella the last 5 mins, of baking(this is optional)
  9. Delicious
  10. To take this dish to another level,10 mins beforre cooking time is up,drizzle the top of chicken with a little pasta sauce then sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top,return to oven for 10 mins until chicken completely cooked and sauce is hot and cheese melted.

Oh My...this was amazing!!! I saw this recipe in the 'I Made It' group when Justjakesmom told us about it...Thanks JJM!!! I made it exactly as written and it was perfect. I'm glad I used the exact amount of fresh garlic and garlic powder that you stated in the recipe because it was just the right amount! This is a whole lot of garlicy, cheesey goodness! It kind of reminds me of a chicken scampi! I served this with my Grilled Romaine Lettuce...this was a very tasty meal! I added my photo :)

Alterations


JJM marinated it in white wine vinegar,garlic,ancho chili pepper,cumin,mexican oregano,olive oil and salt bath first. It sounds good.
