Ingredients

How to make it

  • Peel Garlic and cloves
  • Eat one clove of Garlic as is while you are doing it. (You won't be able to kiss anyone but it's extremely healthy).
  • Pour out a glass of wine and take two sips.
  • Heat the oil in the roaster on the stovetop.
  • Take another sip of wine.
  • Add sliced onions and fry for about 2 minutes. (they don't have to brown).
  • Add cloves of Garlic and mix 'em in with the onions.
  • Forget the TV. Theres a rerun on friday.
  • Take another sip of wine. ONLY ONE!
  • Move onion and garlic mixture to the side and place beef in roaster.
  • Turn over about every minute until sealed on all sides.
  • This keeps the moisture in but you knew that! Didn't You?
  • Finish wine in glass and pour out another. Hic!
  • Pour Honey over meat.
  • Add all the spices, Soy-Sauce, and wine, (what's left of it)
  • Cover roaster and put in centre shelf of oven (180*c) for at least two hours.
  • Remove from roaster and let it cool down a bit.
  • Cut into thin slices.
  • Use the remainder of what is in the roaster as a delicious gravy.
  • ***********************************************************************
  • SERVING SUGGESTIONS:
  • May also be eaten cold.
  • Cut cold leftovers into your favourite salad.
  • Put a slice on rye bread with a slice of tomato and pickles to make a delicious sandwich .
  • Don't forget: You need another bottle of wine

Good evening Ronny. I was just checkin out the recipes in the Glorious Meats group. I was just wondering who is worse (or better) you or Justin Wilson when it comes down to explaining how to do a recipe? The recipe sounds very good. You have my 5. Have a wonderful night....Cheryl

Hi lillian! Use peppercorns instead of pimento. It should come out slightly sweet but after you have made it the first time you can adjust the sweetness by using more or less honey. The ammounts given are what I usually use and people love it!
