Super Cant-go-wrong Slow-roast Sweetmeat Recipe

Super Cant-go-wrong Slow-roast Sweetmeat Recipe
A great way to bring roast beef up to the next level without any effort..Turns out tender and moist and yo can't go wrong. Great with roast potatoes and a green salad on the side.

  • 1/2 cup of Soy-Sauce. (the real stuff)
  • 3-4 bay leaves.
  • 1 teaspoon of Pimento spice.
  • 4 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 large oval roaster if you have one. If not ,Any large pot that can go into the oven.

Directions
  1. Peel Garlic and cloves
  2. Eat one clove of Garlic as is while you are doing it. (You won't be able to kiss anyone but it's extremely healthy).
  3. Pour out a glass of wine and take two sips.
  4. Heat the oil in the roaster on the stovetop.
  5. Take another sip of wine.
  6. Add sliced onions and fry for about 2 minutes. (they don't have to brown).
  7. Add cloves of Garlic and mix 'em in with the onions.
  8. Forget the TV. Theres a rerun on friday.
  9. Take another sip of wine. ONLY ONE!
  10. Move onion and garlic mixture to the side and place beef in roaster.
  11. Turn over about every minute until sealed on all sides.
  12. This keeps the moisture in but you knew that! Didn't You?
  13. Finish wine in glass and pour out another. Hic!
  14. Pour Honey over meat.
  15. Add all the spices, Soy-Sauce, and wine, (what's left of it)
  16. Cover roaster and put in centre shelf of oven (180*c) for at least two hours.
  17. Remove from roaster and let it cool down a bit.
  18. Cut into thin slices.
  19. Use the remainder of what is in the roaster as a delicious gravy.
  20. ***********************************************************************

Im liking this one :-) ! And the wine :-)

Love this!

Yummy

I love the ingredients!I just have 2 questions...What can I substitue for the pimento spice and does the meat come out slightly sweet or very sweet? Thanks.:)

Hi lillian! Use peppercorns instead of pimento. It should come out slightly sweet but after you have made it the first time you can adjust the sweetness by using more or less honey. The ammounts given are what I usually use and people love it!

This sounds so good! Your hysterical too!!!!!

This is great!
