The first time I made these for my hubby he proclaimed them to be the best pancakes he's ever had. I hope that you all enjoy them as much as we do! I do usually try to make my batter the night before and they turn out so much better!

Buttermilk in place of the milk. Wonderful!

Skip the butter to make them fluffy

Lol. Awsum! Thx. And this is a plain pancake recipe that you can chang up however ud like. You can add chocolate chips, fruit, anything you want. And I agree, homemade pancakes are so much better. And this seems so simple, just like a boxed, only better! ;)

Sounds good and easy, almost as easy as a pre-mix bag...and homemade is always better.
Cheers

These really are the best pancakes I've ever had. Made them with buttermilk instead and will try with regular milk next time. I made 6, which was just a little too big. Next time, I will make 8 out of them.

These were really good, didn't get a chance to refrigerate, will try that next time, as if they could get better. No more box mix for me. Thanks

These were great! Nice and fluffy and not too sweet or bland. I added a few dashes of Cake Spice because I lack Vanilla Extract.

I tried this recipe and the pancakes turned out really great! To give them a little more flavor I added some Hershey's Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips to the batter after mixing all of the wet and dry ingredients together. Then, I mashed up two medium sized bananas with a fork and lightly mixed them in the batter leaving some chunks. My Chocolate Chip Banana Pancakes tasted amazing with your recipe, you should try this sometime. 5-stars!

This is the type of "thick, hearty" pancake my husband craves - your picture shows off their beauty! I have printed this off and will make them this weekend (maybe some with banana and some without). I like to feeze my leftovers, with waxed paper between layers, and they re-heat in the toaster so nicely...I'm sure yours will do the same - fresh, hot pancakes (without the microwave "hard/dry" spots!)anytime... thanks, countrygirl!

It's a pretty good recipe but I'm still in search of a pancake recipe that will raise up about a half inch like a waffle will.

I have been making these for months. We were going through so much Bisquick it was crazy. I wanted a recipe to just make on my own. I made it exactly the way you said, but they seemed flat, where as I was used to the fluffy ness. So I did not add the butter. YUM YUM, and fluffy! Perfecto!!!
