Bacon And Fried Green Tomato Sandwich Recipe

I stumbled across this recipe in a gourmet southern magazine. The first time I tried it, I've loved it ever since.

- 3 slices bacon
- 1 good sized green tomato
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup cornmeal
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Fry bacon in pan and set aside on a paper towel to drain.
- Slice green tomatoes 1/2 inch thick.
- Dip in milk and roll well in cornmeal.
- Fry until brown on both sides and drain on paper towel.
- Get two slices of your favorite bread. I like mayo on mine , but use whatever condiment you prefer. I sometimes like dill relish, but this is also good with just bacon and the fried green tomato. Enjoy!

People who have never had breaded and fried green tomatoes just can't imagine how scrumptous this sandwich has to be! I will definitely add this to my list of foods to make on the weekends. My family will love this.
