Very good! I really wanted to make this and thought I had the refried beans for this but I didn't. I saw a can of black beans so I was like, why not? I put the beans in a small sauce pan and cooked them some then I mashed them up. Worked great! I also used monterey jack cheese instead of the pepper jack. This was so delicious! Thanks!

I can't wait to try this. One of my husband's favorite dishes is chile relleƱos but I'm not very good at making them. Maybe this will be a good substitute. Thanks for posting.

Made this for lunch today...delicious! :) I never look for vegetarian dishes, and this would be just as tasty with a ground beef or chorizo type addition, but this one will be lunch, again, soon! :) It was SO good! The only changes I made were that I used my own refried beans(cus I'd just made them last week;), a can each of green chilis and hotter red chilis, and I also used half the flour, but replaced the remainder with cornmeal, to get that batter taste of the original dish. I served it with fresh cilantro, and fried some tortillas. :) Thanks for a great addition! Hope the pic is okay. :)
