Ingredients

How to make it

  • Clean your shovel , making sure its free of rust, then lightly oil it
  • gather some wood to make a small fire, placing one end of each piece of wood togther to form a pyramid...........
  • place some dry grass or twigs in the center underneath and light it
  • you can start to cook soon after---------there is no need to wait for coals, unless you want to toast bread.................
  • place the tripod over the fire
  • rest the shovel on the tripod and balance the handle with the wooden prop that has been secured in the ground..........
  • put a little oil on the shovel and proceed to cook your breakfast........

I don't know how I missed this post until now. I'm a certified survivalist, and avid camper, so this is right up my alley. I wish I could give you a 6.

So cool and nice photo. My brother is an archaeologist and is often out in the field. I'm sending this to him -- do you think it would work on a trowel too :-)
