Ingredients

How to make it

  • Optional--put a quick roast on the jalapeno skins, if desired, by placing on stove burner or gas stove grate. Turn peppers as they get slightly charred or grill marks on skin. This take just a couple of minutes for this process. Remove and cool slightly. Do not remove the skins. Chop stem tops off. Remove seeds from one pepper.
  • Place jalapeno peppers, entire can of whole tomatoes and all remaining ingredients into a blender. Pulse and/or puree' to desired consistency.
  • Serve with favorite chips.
  • NOTE: Can whole tomatoes are preferred

Made this for the Recipe Swap! Very good sauce. I did double the jalapeno and I ended up needing more salt, so added my favorite seasoning blend(garlic/onion/salt/black pepper), but it sure is easy and great to have for folks to have a place to start. It would also be great with a bit of chipotles added! Thanks Mis7up! :)
