Ingredients

beef cut into thin strips

salt

Directions

cut the fat off the beef

cut into thin strips

coat with small amount of salt

Dry in a dehydrator, or in the sun, or oven.

When cool, pack into bags or other containers.

Easy to make and carry, and you can do the same thing with other things like pork, chicken or turkey.

You can also dry pieces of bacon for backpacking the same way.
