Nancy Dooley Chocolate Cheesecake

- CRUST: shopping list
- 1 cup all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted shopping list
- 1 egg yolk, beaten shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- FILLING: shopping list
- 24 ounces cream cheese shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups sugar shopping list
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 4 large eggs, beaten shopping list
- 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, melted shopping list
- 1/4 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
- TOPPING: shopping list
- 2 ounces melted bittersweet chocolate shopping list
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted shopping list
How to make it
- CRUST:
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
- Mix well.
- Press onto bottom and slightly up sides of a 9" springform pan.
- Set aside.
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
- FILLING:
- Beat the cream cheese together with the sugar, flour and salt.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each addition.
- Stir in melted chocolate, sour cream and vanilla extract.
- Pour into prepared crust.
- Bake for 60 to 70 minutes.
- Remove from oven.
- Cool 45 minutes.
- Release cake from pan.
- Cool completely in refrigerator.
- TOPPING:
- Melt together the chocolate and the butter.
- Drizzle over cooled cheesecake in lattice design.
- Chill until trim sets.
