Ingredients

How to make it

  • Combine sugar, water, salt, vanilla, and spices in a large enough sauce pan to allow stirring.
  • Heat to boiling while stirring and allow to slow boil for 5 minutes.
  • Add the nuts and get them all coated to begin with. Then constantly turn them in the pan over low heat. You will see a small amount of syrup on the bottom which will dry up. The sugar will crystallize on the nuts which will then appear dry. That is when you know they are done. Spread them on a non greased cookie sheet and break any clumps apart. When cool they break apart easily. Store in a covered container. Be ready to make more because these disappear quickly.

I use the Ground Saigon Cinnamon that Costco sells. I really like it's richness.
