Sounds absolutely wonderful! But my boyfriend would want the okra add to it.

Thank you , I cant stand the slimy okra!!

I love pretty much everything, but can't develope the taste for okra! This gumbo sounds simply perfect! bookmarked and will try soon! Nice picture, too, it's making me hungry!

I do love Gumbo. 5 from me

Great recipe, I might add some okra too, although it wouldn't really need it, since it has the corn and zucchini...thanks a bunch!

I do love me a good bowl of gumbo - it has everything you could possibly want in a one-dish meal, and yours sounds so flavorful...I only like okra fried in lots of butter and oil, coated with cornmeal and flour and seasonings!

"I will play for gumbo." Jimmy Buffet. Gotta try your version, Cook, especially since its a slow cooker one. Love the file in it and, of course, I'll add some yummy okra. YUM!

I am back to tell you that I made this over the weekend and it was delicious! The only thing I did different, is added my parsely in at the end, I like it fresh. I forgot to add the cornstarch, but in the end when I remembered about it, it was thick enough without any, so I just left that out. Will definitely make again, thanks for this wonderful recipe! Added a picture under your main one, hope that's OK. Also adding this to the "I made it" group.

I've never had gumbo but this sounds very good! I love all the ingredients in it! Great photos also!
