I bet these smell wonderful.

Great recipe thanks high5

Love cooking with flowers, thanks for the post

These have the delightful flavor & aroma of lavender & butter. The texture is like a classic shortbread, with a crisp yet tender crumb. I highly recommend this. (Midgelet, I hope you like the photo.)

I like the photo, was going to upload mine, but yours is great also! Thank you!

I saw this in my 'I Made It' group...they sound amazing! The photo is perfect Midgelet! I flagged it!

I love recipes that we can springboard from. I'm just running through all of the possibilities - rose water, orange blossom water, fresh thyme, cardamom... I wonder what would happen if we added fruit, like blueberries. I'm terrible at baking - I generally stay away because measuring and following directions is not my forte but this is an easy enough recipe to experiment with - thanks!

With this particular cookie, I would not add too much to it except pehaps changes in flavor as you suggested , it's simplicity makes it special. But if you add fruit, let us know how it turns out!

I successfully replaced about 1 cup of all-purpose flour with whole wheat pastry flour, for added nutrition.
