Ingredients

How to make it

  • Mix A using hands then add ingredients in B continue mixing.
  • Form loaf in 11 x 7 baking dish. Shape with hands so as to leave at least an inch on all sides.
  • Mix ingredients of C together and pour over loaf.
  • Baste 3 to 4 times during baking.
  • Bake in 400 degree oven uncovered for 50 minutes or until center is 160-170 degrees.

    I am making a double batch for guests tonight where I have added ground pork to the ground beef.

    I made the meatloaf this evening and I have to tell you that I absolutely LOVE the sauce and how you call for the meat to be basted 4 times during the baking period. How could a person not enjoy the aroma of brown sugar, tomato sauce and seasoning being drizzled over beef and baked to a nice caramelized layer?! YUM! Thank you for sharing this recipe...it will be a keeper in my kitchen favorites =).
