Ingredients

How to make it

  • Cut dogs down the center like the pic so they lay flat in the pan.
  • Cook on medium and let the cut side get a little black like the pics.
  • Turn and let the other side get a little black.
  • Toast the bread when you flip the dogs.
  • First spread edge to edge mayo - no dry spots
  • The best taste is from using yellow mustard see pic.
  • Mix the mustard into the mayo and spread it around so the mixed mayo and mustard is edge to edge.
  • A great crunchy taste!

I used to refer to this as a "Burnt Weenie Sandwich" (even if the weenies weren't really burnt) in honor of a Frank Zappa song. Actually, I still refer to it that way......

Thats ok, I watched Gilligans and the Lone Ranger with Tonto and Silver the horse! You know sometimes it just the real simple stuff that makes it all worth while. Glad you enjoyed the posting. Another thing to do is boil hot dogs and then put regular hot dog buns in the microwave. two at a time, about 15 seconds (1300watt is mine). Have mayo and mustard, sweet pickle relish ready. The buns come out steamed and so soft, quickly put on mayo, mustard, relish, then dive in. Yummmy also. JJ
