Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a medium bowl, toss the shrimps with 1 tsp of salt and red pepper flakes. In a large, heavy skillet, heat the oil over a medium-high heat. Add the shrimps and sauté until just cooked through, about 2 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the shrimps to a large plate and set aside.
  • Add the onion to the same skillet and sauté until onions are translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the tomatoes with the juice, wine, garlic and oregano and simmer until the sauce thickens slightly, about 10 minutes. Return the shrimps and accumulated juices to the tomato mixture and toss to coat. Remove from the heat and stir in the parsley and basil. Season with more salt if needed. Spoon the shrimp mixture into shallow bowls and serve.

Wow, this was so good and so easy. I had Shrimp Fra Diavolo in a restaurant many years ago and they used those little salad shrimp. This was so much better. I will definitely be making this again. Added my picture, too. Posted it in IMI
