Salisbury Steak Deluxe

I made Justjakesmom's Salisbury Steak Deluxe recipe this evening and it was amazing. I have had a standard Campbell's soup recipe for Salisbury Steak that I have been making for years upon years and I am throwing it out. Seriously. This has way more taste. It's awesome. It's the Horseradish that first got me to bookmark it and the addition of the French's prepared mustard also helps with a definitive 'twang'. Wow. Donna....I applaud you!
Sorry my picture is pretty basic. Hubby was hungry and we didn't have time for 'artistic'. LOL!

Very quick and easy, even with from scratch "cream of" soup. Tasty.
I'm not senile yet. Was going to give you a hard time about when to add the mushrooms because that line of instruction was not there. But here I go with the critique and there the instruction line is. You slid that one under the fence JJM.

Only needs a light salt and pepper addition.

Sauteed the onions and 'shrooms before adding.

I followed the directions too closely in the easy handling of the meat and had a rough time holding the patties together while cooking. Next time I'll manhandle the meat a little more. As a result there will be no picture.

Used: Condensed Cream Of Soup Mix

This would be good over a couple slices of bread too. Alas I didn't make anything to accompany the steak.

Used baby "bella" 'shrooms. Added them to the cream of mushroom soup at the start of the 15 minute simmer. Mother's only critique word was chewy, and I think she was referring to the 'shrooms. Would have added them at the last 3 minutes of simmer if the instruction line was there!

It's a good flavorful steak. Will make again.

This was DELISH! Janet is right, the horseradish & mustard makes this dish! I used ground turkey and forgot to add the sour cream & fresh parsley:( I don't know what it is with me and fresh parsley..I had it chopped and on the counter! I would probably double the sauce ingredients next time, we like a lot of sauce/gravy on our mashed potatoes:) I'll be making this often..great comfort food!
