I like to make this on a busy day with the kids. Nothing like coming home to a warm crockpot after soccer and baseball! This is one of my kids favorites.

  • 6-8 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 to 1 pkg dry Italian dressin mix
  • 3 tsp. butter
  • 2 small cans Cream of Chicken soup
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream

Directions
  1. Place all ingredients except the sour cream into a crock pot.
  2. Cook on low heat 6-8 hours.
  3. Add sour cream just prior to serving.
  4. It is excellent over rice, noodles or mashed potatoes. My kids love the mashed potatoes the best.

That sounds so simply and tasty - gotta mark that one for the cooler weather here!

This sounds great! Hope to try this week.

This turned out really great! I admit, after 2 hours and the chicken hadn't even changed color, the faith was very weak - but we loved it, after all!

I bet this IS good ! I would love it over noodles but I'm sure hubby would want mashed potatoes.

Oh yummers ! i agree this is a cool weather keeper . we homeschool so the crockpot gets used a LOT! thanks !

Strangely all three major stores in my area are sold out of cream of chicken, mushroom, and celery. Darn hick town! Had to settle for cream of broccoli. I'll let you know tonight how it turns out.

This was yummy! I cut the chicken into chunks before cooking and served it over rice. Very kid friendly this way.

This a sure keeper,thanks for sharing,Bob

Very easy to make....three out of my four kids loved it!!! THanks!

Sounds easy and awesome!! It's on my list for the next cold weather forecast!!

This sounds so easy and yummy. Easy enough a kid could even do it.

I made this today and it's excellent! I would need to double it next time I make it though, we went through it all very quickly and could have eaten more. It smelled wonderful while cooking. I made mashed potatoes with it.

Oh man! I missed this the last time cruising by your recipes. So many good ones. Jett

Hi Shel! I almost pasdsed this recipe up until I did a double-take at the italian seasoning ingredient! I take it the cream cheese doesn't break down and the soup is undiluted? I'm bookmarking this to make very soon!

It's in the crockpot as we speak. Will let you know how it went over. Sounds yummy.

This looks great I am always looking for new crock pot recipes...thanks!

I made this again tonight. I doubled the recipe this time, it's so yummy.

You're making drool again, michelle - and it's not even a cookie picture!!!! I just printed this out so I remember to make it while it's still cool here...dont think I need to worry about hot weather around here yet - we can't even get to the grill yet! Love the pictures...looks like good ol' comfort food to me - just what I love~

We've found this to be even better with only 3-4 chicken breasts.
