I like to make this on a busy day with the kids. Nothing like coming home to a warm crockpot after soccer and baseball! This is one of my kids favorites.

Ingredients

6-8 boneless, skinless chicken breasts shopping list
1/2 to 1 pkg dry Italian dressin mix shopping list
3 tsp. butter shopping list
2 small cans cream of chicken soup shopping list
3 cloves fresh garlic, minced shopping list
1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese shopping list
1 cup sour cream shopping list

How to make it

Place all ingredients except the sour cream into a crock pot.
Cook on low heat 6-8 hours.
Add sour cream just prior to serving.
It is excellent over rice, noodles or mashed potatoes. My kids love the mashed potatoes the best.

Pretty good but not something I think I'd make again mainly because it didn't wow me. I cooked chicken breasts 5 hours in low then warmed while I got hungry about another hour. Chicken was dry and over cooked. Sauce was pretty good. Served over rice. Husband liked sauce on the rice.

Recently I started making it with Quorn brand "fake" chicken cutlets since we're progressively becoming a vegetarian household, as well as substituting the cream of chicken soup with cream of celery or mushroom. Still absolutely amazing!

Okay so made this last night and it was creamy and delicious! I only needed to cook mine about 5 hours but I did only use 4 breast. When I lifted the lid the smell was STRONG and I was a little worried but the taste was awesome! Served with mashed potatoes as suggested! Thanks Michelle!

You're making me drool again, michelle - and it's not even a cookie picture!!!! I just printed this out so I remember to make it while it's still cool here...dont think I need to worry about hot weather around here yet - we can't even get to the grill yet! Love the pictures...looks like good ol' comfort food to me - just what I love~

Hi Shel! I almost pasdsed this recipe up until I did a double-take at the italian seasoning ingredient! I take it the cream cheese doesn't break down and the soup is undiluted? I'm bookmarking this to make very soon!

I made this today and it's excellent! I would need to double it next time I make it though, we went through it all very quickly and could have eaten more. It smelled wonderful while cooking. I made mashed potatoes with it.
