Celery Soup

- 8 c water or chicken stock shopping list
- 1 head of celery, washed and cut to 1", including the leaves shopping list
- 1 large russet potato, peeled and cut to 1" cubes shopping list
- 1 small to medium onion, sliced vertically shopping list
- 1 clove of garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 can of condensed cream of celery soup shopping list
- OR substitute 1/3 cup of Condensed Cream Of Soup Mix shopping list
- 1 pouch of dry noodle soup mix shopping list
- 1 ounce of your favorite cheese shopping list
- 1 ounce of your next favorite cheese shopping list
- 1 t dried oregano leaves; crumbled shopping list
- 1 t dried rosemary leaves; crumbled shopping list
- 1 t dried savory leaves; crumbled shopping list
- 1 t dried thyme leaves; crumbled shopping list
- 1 t dried basil leaves; crumbled shopping list
- 1 t dried marjoram leaves; crumbled shopping list
- 1 t dried rubbed sage shopping list
How to make it
- In a large sauce pot add first five ingredients.
- Bring to a boil; cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
- Add the rest of the ingredients; stir; salt and pepper to taste; cover and simmer for an additional 15 minutes. You may cut the herb ingredients in half if you wish.
- Tear up a slice or two of bread for the bottom of a soup bowl and ladle soup over the bread.
