Very yummy!!! Mine didn't rise up much but they tasted great! I did stick to the recipe using the buttermilk and they were perfect! We put jelly on some and honey on others! This did make quite a few biscuits (about 24) so I am freezing up some for later ;) Cant wait to use these for biscuits and gravy! Thanks!

If you thought the buttermilk biscuits were good, it is time for 247cook to submit the raisin biscuit recipe. Equally as tasty, but a sweeter biscuit, scone-like but not dry. Get on it 247cook, the biscuit lovers on Group need to try that one for sure!! Another family favorite for many, many years.

Made these today after we woke to snow and ice on the blossoming trees (!); House was so cold, did not mind heating that oven to requisite 450. These baked up beautifully light, even having added just a sprinkling of shredded cheddar when incorporating the liquid. I can certainly see how it became a cross generational pride. My only problem now is that I'll have to decide between it and OUR family's (up-to-now) biscuit of choice. Decisions. Decisions.
