How to make it

  • Cut a 30 x 3 inch strip of wax paper; line sides of a 9 in springform pan with strip.
  • Split ladyfingers in half lengthwise; line sides and bottom of pan with ladyfingers.
  • Brush ladyfingers with liqueur; set aside.
  • Sprinkle gelatin over 3/4 cup cold water; stir and let stand 1 minute.
  • Combine remaining 1 cup of water and sugar in a saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  • Add gelatin, stirring until it dissloves.
  • Chop orange sections; drain on paper towels.
  • Stir oranges and next 3 ingredients into gelatin mixture.
  • Chill until consistency of unbeaten egg whites.
  • Beat whipping cream until soft peaks form.
  • Fold whipped cream and marshallows into orange mixture.
  • spoon into pan, and sprinkle with pecans.
  • cover and chill 8 hours.
  • Remove ring from pan; remove wax paper.
  • Place on plate, and garnish, if desired.
  • Yield: 10 to 12 servings.
