Ingredients

  • Pick any amount of dandelion blossoms (the unopened bud only not the stem) you wish to serve. shopping list

How to make it

  • soak blossoms in salt water for 20 minutes (1 qt water and 1/4 cup salt)
  • rinse well and squeeze out any excess water
  • roll in flour and fry blossoms in enough butter to keep them from burning.
  • keep heat low and brown well
  • add salt and pepper to taste.
  • **note you can also use extra virgin olive oil and butter combination here.
  • Serve as you would any vegetable

    I would love to try these.. but.. no dandelions here in this part of Texas.. Now in Michigan people made wine out of them.. That had a kick!
