Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 2 tsps. Grated lemon rind
  • 1 Egg
  • 3 Tbsp. Lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. Water
  • 1 3/4 cups Plain Flour
  • 1/4 tsp. Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/4 tsp. Cream of tartar
  • 1/2 cup Finely chopped pecans

Directions
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease baking sheets. Cream first six ingredients together. Sift flour, baking soda, salt and cream of tartar together. Add to creamed mixture along with nuts. Make 1-inch balls and place 1-inch apart on baking sheet. Bake 10-15 minutes until cookies are light brown on bottom.
  2. Cool slightly and roll in powdered sugar.
  3. Makes 4 dozen.

YUMMIE, sound wonderful, must make these for sure. Great post.


I think I can make these using my Gluten-Free flour.. I love lemon cookies so I'm going to give it a try.
