Ingredients
  • 1 cup of brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • Slices of butter (not much)
  • Ready-made pie crust

Directions
  1. Mix first 3 ingredients in bowl.
  2. Cover an 8-inch pie plate with dough.
  3. Pour ingredients into dough, spread.
  4. Dot with a few small slices of butter.
  5. For decoration, few strips of pie dough
  6. Bake in a 400F oven for 30 to 40 minutes.
  7. Serve with vanilla ice cream. It tastes even better cold, the day after with a cup of coffee or tea...:)

Love, love Sugar Pie!! My grandmother always called me "sugar pie"! Thanks Noir. I am so glad that you shared this! :)

This sounds so hassle free - I loves it! (That and sugar pie is something my in-laws love)

My first husband was French Canadian. He used to talk about his grandmother's sugar pie, so I think it's a big hit up there too.
It looks very easy to make.

This sounds great and I will have to try...but now the song "Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch" is stuck in my head (not such a bad thing, I guess - : ))

Hey, Sugar Pie! *giggle* *Pink is snappin' on the radio, rollin' up her sleeves, takin' out her pie plate....Gonna make this one*

Ood job thanks for the post my foodie friend !!!!

Love this post. I made this with my Great Aunt (no longer with us) when I was 6, still remember the first bite. It is so good.

Sounds Delicious, & out of the Ordinary, thanks for posting it, I will be bookmarking this one

I am turninig on the oven! Sounds so good and so easy!

I have Made Three of THese for my Girl Friend because I call her my "sugarpie" (And they taste delicious!) If somebody else wants to try, i would like to suggest adding a hint of Vanilla extract to this and it gives it a little different flavor! Preferably a little better taste.
