Lip Balm Recipe

Ingredients

3 oz almond oil

2 tsp pure honey

1/2 oz beeswax

1 drop of essential oil - like peppermint or tea trea for chapped lips

Directions

Melt all together in the microwave.

I do 20 seconds then stir until it is melty enough to mix altogether.

And stir while cooling..

Use!

NOTE: I make it alot with out an essential oil. I like the taste of the honey.

I would think it would keep fairly long, honey is the one food that never spoils. I realize it isn't pure honey but honey has antimicrobial properties and is being used for wound care to help keep wounds from becoming infected.

I went to Wal-Mart tonight and because of the time of year the have flavored oils in 2 bottles for 1 price. Pretty cheap really. I picked up cherry, strawberry, and butterstoch. They had lots of other flavors I think I will have to go back and get some more!
