I tried the vinegar in my dishwasher and it worked fantastic. I couldn't believe the difference in my dishes when they were finished. Thanks for the great idea.

I learned to use vinegar for dishwasher while staying in the south of france, as the water was very hard and am using it at home, too. but i#ve never hear about making your own dishwasher soap. what a great idea - not just cheap for better for our environment, too. thank you so much for posting!
