This is off the top of my head - I haven't an actual written recipe for it - just years of making it.
This has been one of our New Year food traditions for as long as I can remember. It's also a year-round comfort food.
Prep:15m Cook:120m Servings:8

If you're pressed for time you can also cut the pork up in smaller pieces.

Comfort food...and the pork butt is the best! A pot of black eyed peas, pork and sauerkraut says Happy New Year and Welcome 2008 the loudest, and I am headed for the store right now! :)

I usually make this with pork ribs, but the pork butt sounds great! Thanks for sharing!
