Baked Fish With Garlic Crust Recipe

Baked Fish With Garlic Crust Recipe
This is a great fish dish. The topping is versatile enough to use with chicken. If you choose chicken, saute in the pan before topping and baking.

Ingredients
  • 2-3 Large Garlic Cloves Smashed (more or less depending on tastes)
  • 3 TBSP Butter
  • 3 TBSP Olive Oil
  • 4 Fish Filets - I prefer a white fish
  • 1/4 Cup Fresh Parsley, can substitute dried but cut way back
  • 1 Cup Plain Bread Crumbs
  • 1/2 -1 TSP Dried Thyme

Directions
  1. heat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Melt butter and olive oil in a small saute pan over medium low heat
  3. Add garlic and cook until soft over low heat about 15 minutes do not brown
  4. while garlic butter is cooking dry fish fillets
  5. season fish with salt pepper and thyme
  6. remove garlic pieces and reserve for another use (makes a great base for garlic bread)
  7. remove oil from heat and add parsley and bread crumbs until all oil is absorbed and a crumb topping made
  8. top fillets with crumb topping and bake in oven about 15 minutes or until fish is done and flaky
  9. enjoy!
