This is a yummy gooey creamcheese chocolate cake. I've never found anyone that didnt like it. Ive made it so many times I dont even have to use the recipe anymore... Its my hubby's favorite cake...

Ingredients
  • 1 box german chocolate cake mix
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
  • 1 16 oz box powdered sugar
  • 1 stick softened butter
  • 1 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 teaspoons milk

Directions
  1. Pour pecans and coconut into bottom of greased 9 x 13 cake pan
  2. fix german chocolate cake mix per directions on box
  3. pour this over top of pecans and coconut
  4. in seperate bowl cream powdered sugar, butter, cream cheese, vanilla and milk together
  5. Pour this mixture over top of cake mix and bake at 325 degrees for one hour until top of cake cracks

This is the best cake ever..Everytime I make this cake everyone loves it...and I have to make ait again..You can eat it hot or wait til then next day when all the flavor have come together..

This cake is legendary around here. People will beg, steal and cry to get the last piece or scrap the pan clean. Absolutely delicious!


I tried this and love it. Tried to show that I am a fan, but have not quite figured that one out yet.

Zena - This cake is AMAZING!!! Looks like heck but OMG it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!! I left out the coconut - I'm pretty vocal about not liking that - but the cake did not suffer one bit for taste. = )


Sunny... Im tickled pink that you loved the Earthquake cake....its not a pretty cake for sure... but sure tasty.... my son doesnt love coconut either but he will eat it in this cake...
his wife took it the other day to a party they had at the base...and there was a dessert contest.... she won first prize with this cake...

Oh my goodness! I have to make this cake! We've felt the aftershocks of the earthquake from last month, and another one happened yesterday morning, the center of the quake was literaly 5 minutes from my house! This will be perfect to make with dinner! Thanks!
