Bourbon Glazed Pork Chops And Peaches Recipe

Bourbon Glazed Pork Chops And Peaches Recipe
Add Step-by-Step Photos

Quick, easy marinade. The smokiness of bourbon and sweetness of honey nicely compliment each other. Found this one night talking with some friends while sipping on some good Kentucky bourbon. Adapted from Cooking Light.

Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup bourbon
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable or light olive oil
  • 3/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes, or dash red hot pepper sauce, such as Frank's X-tra hot sauce.
  • 4 thin loin pork chops (bone-in or I prefer boneless)
  • 2 peaches, halved, pitted, and skinned

Directions
  1. In a shallow Tupperware (or other resealable) container, stir together the bourbon, honey, soy sauce, oil, ginger and black pepper and the pepper flakes or hot sauce.
  2. Add the pork chops and peaches and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate for up to 2 hours.
  3. Preheat the grill (or place a grill pan over medium-high heat if cooking indoors). Clean and oil the grill grates well.
  4. Place the pork and peaches on the grill reserving the marinade. Cook, turning once, until nicely browned on both sides and cooked through, ~ 4 minutes per side.
  5. Meanwhile, in a saucepan on the side burner, (or indoors on the stovetop or in a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave) bring the marinade to a boil. Simmer briefly until marinade reduces slightly ( have to kinda place this by sight and feel).
  6. Divide the pork and peaches evenly among individual plates and spoon the sauce over them.
  7. Serve Immediately.

Saving this one! Great post.

Awesome man this sounds good, and if you burn the pork chops still have plenty of bourbon to drink. LOL

Love Pork, thanks!

Mmmmm ... me thinks that I might forget where the pork chops are after standing around the kitchen for 2 hours with 3/4 of a bottle of Maker's Mark.
:-)

Sounds like my name is all over this one. Thank you again! =)

Sounds delish. And like Pierce said if you burn the chops-who cares-you got Maker's Mark and you can party. Thnaks Dave.

Vickie, my name's on this one too! Good post, wolf!

Wowee!

I think you got the recipe wrong, the first step is:
"Pour a glass of Bourbon to sip while you cook"

These are going to be mine all Mine as soon as I can get my hands on a couple of peaches. (The bourbon I have, of course, on hand)

I made this last night and i give it 5 stars... i mean goddamn! yall have to try this one! not for the unadventurous...
