Everybody has a favorite recipe for mashed potatoes. I came up with this recipe and my family loves it. My grandson insists that he have a test taste and approve each bach before they go to the table. He says they are no good, but offers to eat th... More

Ingredients
- 6 large Irish or Russet potatoes, peeled and diced
- 4 sticks butter (lightly salted is OK)
- 4-6 cubes chicken bouillon
- 1 tsp granulated garlic
- 1-1½ cups buttermilk
- salt and black pepper to taste
Directions
- Steam diced potatoes until fork tender.
- Add butter, bouillon, garlic, and 1 cup buttermilk. Season the mixture with salt and black pepper.
- Use a potato masher to mash and blend to desired consistency, using remaining buttermilk as necessary.
- Serve hot.
