Would it be nice with a light sugar icing drizzled on top?

I added about a teaspoon of vanilla as I don't have access to baking powder and have to substitute baking soda. I find that without the vanilla, the soda overpowers doughs. This is just due to what I have available in China, not a flaw in the recipe, though; just like using powdered milk since fresh milk is hard to find in a small Chinese city!
All that said, this is a great and easy recipe :)

I'll be trying this soon - it sounds wonderful. And I probably would drizzle some light sugar icing over the top. Delicious...thanks!

This sounds wonderful, but how does anyone wait overnight to eat it? Or is that just if you want to actually slice it?

I'll let you know after I make this recipe. I'm never quite sure how to go about getting yeast in China, so this looks ideal. Thankfully, I have all the ingredients already!
