How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 425ºF. Grease two 12" pizza pans.
  • In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Pour in the beer and stir until it forms a really wet, sticky dough.
  • Beat an extra 5-7 minutes, so that the dough develops a stretchy consistency. I
  • Let the dough rest for about five minutes before using — it will be easier to work with once it has relaxed
  • Dump the dough out onto the prepared pans, dividing it equally between them.
  • Sprinkle the top with flour to reduce stickiness and pat the dough into an even layer, all the way to the edges of the pan.
  • Top in whatever way you want, then bake 20 to 25 minutes, until the bottom is lightly browned and the toppings are done.

    My first job was in a pizzaria where we learned to toss the dough. Is this sturdy enough for that or is this one to roll? Looking forward to trying this one.
