Beer N Pizza Recipe

Beer N Pizza Recipe
This is the great, ultimate combination of frat parties and Super Bowls everywhere: pizza and beer! The beer gives the dough a nice yeasty flavour without the need for any rising or kneading. And don’t worry about the alcohol in the beer if serving... More

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 12 oz beer (honey lager is beautiful in this but any kind will do)

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 425ºF. Grease two 12" pizza pans.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder and salt.
  3. Pour in the beer and stir until it forms a really wet, sticky dough.
  4. Beat an extra 5-7 minutes, so that the dough develops a stretchy consistency. I
  5. Let the dough rest for about five minutes before using — it will be easier to work with once it has relaxed
  6. Dump the dough out onto the prepared pans, dividing it equally between them.
  7. Sprinkle the top with flour to reduce stickiness and pat the dough into an even layer, all the way to the edges of the pan.
  8. Top in whatever way you want, then bake 20 to 25 minutes, until the bottom is lightly browned and the toppings are done.

Lookin good girl!!!!

Your are speaking my lingo!

A great reason to get out my pizza stone...as if I needed one.

Great recipe. any recipe with beer sounds good to me :)

Thanks for another good recipe!

I was interested but deceived by the title. possibly call this a "pizza crust" recipe?

My first job was in a pizzaria where we learned to toss the dough. Is this sturdy enough for that or is this one to roll? Looking forward to trying this one.

I've been able to roll mine, I don't know about tossing it (I've been too scared!) Let me know how it goes!

This is great!

Another keeper....

Yes ma'am, I will be trying this one... um, I don't need a pizza stone, do I? Do you suppose this would be good with a goat cheese pizza???

I don't own a pizza stone and this has always been fine for me, I'd bet this would be awesome with pretty much any pizza... so far I'm loving roasted red pepper, fresh tomatoes, mushrooms, pineapple and Veggie Canadian bacon!
